I feel......

Accomplished!

I honestly thought my weekend was going to be blasie at best. But, instead, it was a very busy weekend.

Friday night I finished off the shawl I was working on for me. Since sometimes I just need something on my shoulders when running to the letter box.
Wait a minute... I'm a Knitter. I don't need a reason to make/have a shawl.

Saturday morning was Belly Dance class. To which our instructor really made us work.
Now, mind you, I haven't been dancing for an incredible amount of time, but long enough to be decent, and not make an idiot of myself when dancing in public with our newly formed Troupe. But let me tell you. My BUTT HURTS!
We shimmied, a little, shimmied a lot. Power Shimmied, hips were lifted and dropped. And then there were massive amounts of figure 8's, reverse figure 8's, maya's, broken maya's.. Needless to say, my tummy and my butt got one heck of a work out.
And to think that my backside was going to get a rest when I got home from class I was wrong. I started cutting out the pieces to Meg's halloween costume, and even sewed a couple quick pieces together.
Then, we were promplty out the door and on our way to her school.. They had a fall festival at the school for the kids. To which I got my very own school Hoodie.
Yep, I now look like a school mom. It's my very own, school jacket. Which let me tell you. I am excited.
But, that also meant walking on, my poor arse walked more and more.

Now we are at Sunday, and my arse is still sore, but at least today the biggest workout it got, was me sitting on it, and sewing.
Meg's costume is done... well all that is left is that I have to do, is to hem the sleeves, and the bottom edge of the shirt. Then add the premade grommet laces to the font and lave it!
I am really proud that it didn't take me hours and tears.
To this I owe a big thank you to my Belly Dancing pal, and the owner and renouned pattern designer. Margo of Margospatterns.com
She sooo helped me make sense out of the ancient dead language of patterns, and how to do it without crying, screaming and enlighting my neighbors with new combinations of swear words.
When I got to my stopping point(have to get different black thread.) I cut down and put together new pantaloons(harem pants) for belly dancing.. This pair is HUGE and fluffy. Great for pushing out the big 10+ yard flying skirts we wear.

So, today I feel incredibly accomplished.

Pictures will follow as soon as I can.
